Rosa – A Short Scene

David was beginning to feel sick in his stomach, and he shifted in his chair. The rose spun. A bird sang outside the window. David felt his vision blurring. In another moment, he would pass out.

Some Updates

Some Updates

It’s been quite a while since I’ve really given an update on what’s going on in my life regarding my work, so here’s a little check-in. What’s really been taking up most of my time lately has been my upcoming film, Exactly Where I Saw Them. Shooting is planned sometime during this summer of 2020, so gathering a cast, equipment, and sets and props has been quite a task. As of writing this, I have one confirmed actress for the starring role of Queenie, but I still have the rest of the film to cast. I am personally “wearing many

New Projects Underway

New Projects Underway

With the final read of the Plight of Steel finished, I thought I might start some new projects while I wait to format. A new novel is already started and a script for a stage play is already half done. The Novel – Ceres My first and biggest side project is a novel entitled Ceres. It is set in a science fiction universe created entirely on metaphor and symbolism, and centers around three characters who are all searching for something, whether it be love, truth, etc. It is interesting to try and write a book on entirely metaphor, and the

Newsletter

Newsletter

The Plight of Steel now has an official Newsletter! I felt it would be a good idea to create one, as I could give people updates and exclusive content directly in their inboxes. I am planning to add things like information on giveaways and discounts in both the Amazon and Teepublic stores, as well as updates and previews for trailers, videos, and novels. Behind-the-scenes pictures for things like the upcoming final trailer will also be featured, as well as any fan artwork, writings, etc. I am planning to make these newsletters as entertaining and informative as possible, giving subscribers a

A Short Story

With the release of the Plight of Steel drawing nearer, I thought I might share a short story I recently wrote. It is small, more of a scene, really, but I think it gives a good example of my writing. So here it is. A Chilled Moonlight Short Story by Tony Del Degan The streets were dark, the cobbles damp. The footsteps of the Duke rang out like drumbeats as he strode, his long coat fluttering behind like a flag in the mist. A man passed to the left, only a blur of darkness, a shadow in grey, ornamented with

The New Year… The Point of Chaos

The Point of Chaos So with the new year just arriving, planning on the next novel, The Point of Chaos, is now beginning. The Plight of Steel is not even released yet, I know, but planning for the next step is always something I like to do. The entire plan for the story of the four novels is something I think about every day, and most of it is planned already, including the very end of the entire series, as well as the major events of the third and final book. Learning from my past mistakes, I am first going

Now the Editing

Now the Editing, Soon the Publishing. It has been a long road getting to this point, but the Plight of Steel is finally finished. (The writing, at least.) Now, it is in the hands of my editor, who will be going through the entire thing, searching for errors and mistakes. I do not know how long it will take him, as the page count is currently around the seven-hundred range, but once done, the novel will be ready to publish. Meanwhile, my mother, who is now my new artist, is finishing the drawings of house sigils and chapter ornaments, and

Merchandise

Merchandise for the Plight of Steel, new from Tony Del Degan So my dad introduced me to this website called TeePublic, and I immediately thought of a line of merchandise that I could make for the series. I created a first design using the logo for the books, and am planning to create more in the future, including house sigil stuff and much more. So stay tuned for some more designs, and enjoy this first one. You’re now able to support the Plight of Steel before it’s out.

Coming to an End

The Plight of Steel – Coming to an End The struggles and victories I faced while writing. Now that the Plight of Steel is reaching its publishing date, I would like to write about the adventure it was writing it. First, I will tell you about some of the troubles, then move on to the good bits. The struggles: While writing, I faced lots of psychological troubles regarding the story, the writing itself, and the pacing, among other things. At some points, It seemed as if the words just appeared in my mind, ready to write down onto the paper
